Nick and I flew down to Jacksonville to meet up with the southern counterpart of our team. After 2 of our flights got canceled and 8 hours later we finally made it to Randy's house. Randy is the owner of First Strike Paintball and father of Lucas one of our teammates. Randy and his wife were extremely accommodating and hospitable throughout our stay and at the event. The team got to practice at both First Strike and Central Florida Paintball over the course of the weekend before heading out to the event on Wednesday. Although we played some very good teams in D2, I do not believe the team played to its full potential. Since the Chicago event in 06, NRG has been in constant roster changes and such the team has not yet been able to gel together. This was reflected throughout the event as we would be unable to close games because we were playing like individuals and not as a unit . If we are unable to bond together, NRG will never be a successful D2 team.
