<--L.A Open
I've been dreading to write about L.A. The team dynamics were totally off and the entire weekend (playing part of it) was total crap. At our last practice in NY we picked up a bunch of new guys with lots of talent and drive, yet when the time came to actually playing the tournament they unfortunately fell short of our expectations. To compensate we had to play our powerline more than it should ever have and our scores reflect this. We went into overtime in 2 out of our 4 prelim matches. We also had bad equipment problems, our paint and markers were completely out of sync and many times what should have been an easy kill turned into a hectic situation. Our pit was pure chaos! So much that I feel the need to apologize to anyone who saw us in our pit during the tournament, it was insane! Maybe because we were stressed as the matches unfolded our maybe because of the equipment problems but for some reason we were always screaming and yelling at each other to get anything done. It got to the point that after our last prelim game I had to take a timeout from the team just to cool down and relax. Later that night we had meeting about the team’s attitude and we promised each other not to repeat the same behavior. The next morning we played CFP/Justice and Gridlock Black, and as we got ready to play I could tell that the negative atmosphere in our pits had completely drained the team. We were sent home early and disappointed. After the event we took a trip to Hollywood and Beverly Hills to see the sights but I definitely wished we could of played on Sunday .
